Introducing the new EDGE range of shear cutters: the next chapter in Lindström precision tools

Lindström has been at the helm of precision tool research and development for over 160 years. Today, this journey culminates in their latest innovation, the EDGE range of shear cutters. These exceptional tools showcase Lindström's unwavering dedication to quality, technical expertise and customer satisfaction, as EDGE shear cutters embody a seamless fusion of durability, versatility, affordability and cutting-edge technology, delivering the promise of precise cuts to professionals across diverse industries.

Lindström's commitment to quality tools and outstanding results has resulted in five meticulously-crafted EDGE shear cutter models: Dura Shear, Accu Shear, Inox ShearPeak Shear and Angle Shear. Each model caters to specific needs in industries such as electronics, jewellery, watchmaking, precision engineering, fine mechanics, clean rooms, general industries and many more.

Designed with comfort and ergonomics in mind, the EDGE shear cutters make repetitive cutting actions effortless and reduce the risk of hand fatigue, thanks to the opening spring and limiter. The bi-material handles are also soft and comfortable to the touch, making them ideal for prolonged use, while the unique EDGE handle grip enhances control and precision and reduces the risk of slippage.

The EDGE range delivers two styles of cutting result thanks to the bevelled or non-bevelled blades: the Micro EDGE cut and Flush EDGE cut respectively. Both styles employ our unique EDGE shear misalignment technology, whereby the symmetrical cutting blades are marginally misaligned by a mere 0.2 mm in order to bypass each other as they shear the workpiece into two pieces. This misalignment also increases the shear cutters’ durability, which in turn translates into savings in time, costs and inventory, as well as gains in productivity and profitability. Additionally, spare parts are readily available for each model, further underlining Lindström's commitment to longevity and sustainability.

To complement this exceptional craftsmanship, the EDGE shear cutters all feature ESD safe and dissipative handles, making them hugely versatile tools, and especially indispensable for electricians and electronics applications. They also meet strict IEC 61340-5-1 standards and ensure safe and reliable usage.

The introduction of the EDGE range marks a new chapter in the world of precision hand tools, reinforcing Lindström’s position at the forefront of hand tool innovation. With their dedication to quality, technical expertise and customer service, Lindström continues to empower professionals across a wide range of industries to push the boundaries of their craft, unlocking new levels of precision and craftsmanship.
